I would have to agree with the last poster. Although I'd put it more tactfully. There is a great animosity amongst all the different "factions" at this company (IT, "production", biz def); I personally heard 3 or 4 different managers outlining plans to take down other managers. In addition, there was seemingly no room for job advancement (I saw no one promoted or given a raise during my time there, and people who were there longer said they hadn't either) and there is no direction for the company. I never was told in person or received an email outlining a plan or direction and not once was my hard work or even existence acknowledged by anyone in management. When I asked about what the company direction was to my supervisor, they laughed and said there was none.

The higher-ups were woefully under-qualified and staffed my Mr. G's personal friends or acquaintances (rumor has it, one of them was Mr. G's waiter, but he was a REALLY GOOD waiter). I left very quickly after starting and have heard that another 10-15 people have quit since I have.

I would only recommend working there IF you absolutely LOVE web 2.0, have ZERO experience in it, have no personal goals or aspirations of moving forward in your career. They'll pay you like 35-45K and never expect more from you than to follow everything your manager (a friend of Brad's) says without question.

Seriously though, this person is completely right. I worked part time there in 07 and only dealt with the production arm (which was run by this really annoying, always angry, "have no talent, but friend of the CEO" butch woman). I heard her complain about every single person who worked there (including calling "her friend" the CEO an idiot who didn't know what was going on) The stuff that we shot was OK, but edited by someone who knew nothing about the internet, and supervised by that woman, so it came out really, really bad. It seemed like things were set up to be awesome, but the execution was so bad that it was doomed to fail.

Aw, this was a very nice post. In thought I would like to put in writing like this additionally - taking time and actual effort to make an excellent article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and in no way seem to get something done. I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you've gotten hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the problem is something that not sufficient people are talking intelligently about. I'm very blissful that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for something regarding this.

full of amateur unprofessional wannabees

This company is run by Brad Greenspan although "running" it is a bit ironic. Besides the sloppy business plan, the production department is full of amateur unprofessional wannabees. This includes the VP of production. NO one knows what to expect at this romper room. The production department hates the IT Department and vice versa. The studio manager spends his days writing rules for the employees to follow. The "producers" are all clueless and immature and the list goes on and on. Brad Greenspan is a complete idiot and he is never even there. The HR department is a joke with their copy and paste confidentiality agreement. The legal department is also a joke with their musician and rights agreements(and you idiots wonder why no bands will sign it??) I think the best thing I ever heard at this dump was from a clueless wannabe producer type and I quote: "Here at Livevideo, we do things in a round about way" Meaning no one has the balls or the guts to actually lead a team...After a short time I said Buh Bye to this daycare center...DO NOT WORK HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE FOR MONEY OR ARE A GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT. ALSO IF YOU DO WORK FOR THEM, BE PREPARED TO LIE ABOUT WHAT YOU ACTUALLY SPEND YOUR TIME DOING ALL DAY. This company will not make it and in less than 5 years this will be another Greenspan failure..Good job Brad, we can clearly see you're good at F&*%ing things up..

One of my "clients" sent me this as Brad Greenspan was making a lowball offer to buy his Company.

Well that was mature

Well this doesn't sound TOO much like sour grapes now does it? I don't doubt that some of what the author is saying is true and I've even heard similar things through the proverbial grapevine, but... When you stoop to profanity and typing in all caps, it goes a long way towards suggesting that the problem may have at least partially been to do with your attitude. But hey, I'm not a paid employee of LiveVideo, just a lowly unpaid moderator, so what do I know? I hope that, if things are really as bad as you say they are, that they will improve, because LiveVideo has a community that wants to support it, that wants it to thrive and grow and if Brad Greenspan knows what's good for him, he'll start to listen to that community, at least a little bit.

Hmmmmmm?

Sounds like a bitter inept person who was fired from a company that didn't do anything in a round about way, when they put you in the unemployment line... Go save a starving African child with all of your new found free time. Madonna and Angelina can do it and they have 5 full time jobs. Loser...
