Edison International (NYSE: EIX) is a public utility holding company based in Rosemead, California. Its subsidiaries include Southern California Edison, and un-regulated non-utility assets Edison Mission Energy, a power producer, and Edison Capital. Edison's roots trace back to Holt & Knupps, a company founded in 1886 as a provider of street lights in Visalia, California.

The Job is for a big company and has that big company attitude, however it has also been around for 100 years and thus has a lot of dead wood. My observations about working in IT is there are a lot of chiefs and few indians. I like my immediate supervision, and the people I work with, and the new technology. I realy dislike the hypocrisy, the upper management disconnect of what is takes to do our work, and the personal cost of our medical benefits.
